First Love

Imagine yourself, a kid who went to an all boy's school his whole life, who has never really interacted with a woman before. All of a sudden, you were introduced to a woman for the first time. So you pushed yourself to learn as much about her as you can. Naturally, you fell in love with her. Well kids, that was Python for me.
Ah... Python. She was pretty special indeed.
It was Programming 181 of my Sophomore year. I walked into the class, not knowing what to expect. Is this going to be exciting? or tough? Will I love it, or will I absolutely loathe it? No one knew, and I had to find out myself. I put my bag down as I took a seat.
"Deep breaths Keith, deep breaths."
The very next moment, she walked in. It was really tough to describe exactly how I felt, but my curiosity was definitely piqued. She sat right in front of me, and I was very nervous. I wanted to strike a conversation, but I wasn't sure what to say. Every single muscle in my body was tensing up from my nervousness.
The kid sitting next to me stared at me and told me what I should do. I wasn't sure, but I decided to take a chance and follow his advice. I tapped her shoulder as she turned around. Then I spout my very first words to her: print("Hello World!")
She turned around and stared at me. It took her some time to process the situation, but it did not take her too long before she smiled and said to me, "Hello World!"
It was crazy, but we just kicked off from there. We had so much fun together and I gave her so many of my first. My first function, my first If-else statement, my first loop and we even built my very first paint software together. What can I say? We were young, wild and free after all.
Like most first love, it didn't last as long as we hope it would. I was hoping she would be the one, but the feeling slowly faded. It just never felt right, and I eventually moved on after the semester ended.
She was great, and maybe we can hit it off again sometime in the future. But for now, it is much wiser for both of us to explore the world and get to know others.
It was definitely fun. And every memory we made together, I'll definitely cherish.
